Agent Junky ("we", "us", "our") is a personal blog published at agentjunky.com, operated from the United Kingdom. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit the site, why, and what rights you have over it under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

What we collect

Agent Junky does not require account creation and does not run its own forms that collect personal details. Data we do process comes from:

  • Server and hosting logs — our hosting provider (Render) automatically logs IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps for security and reliability purposes.
  • Cookies — used for advertising and analytics, described in full in our Cookie Policy.
  • Advertising data — if you see ads on this site, they are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies and device identifiers to personalize ads based on your browsing activity.
  • Affiliate link tracking — some posts contain affiliate links. Clicking one may set a tracking cookie on the destination site (not controlled by us) to attribute any resulting purchase.

Legal basis for processing

Where we rely on cookies for advertising or analytics, we do so with your consent, collected via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Server logs are processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and operational.

Third-party services

  • Google AdSense — serves ads and may use cookies for personalization. See how Google uses data from partner sites, and manage personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
  • Render — our hosting provider, processes standard server logs.
  • Affiliate networks — third-party retailers/networks linked from posts, each governed by their own privacy policy.

Data retention

Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and operational purposes. Cookie data persists according to the retention periods set by the third parties above.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the data held about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. by clearing cookies or changing your ad settings)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@agentjunky.com.

International transfers

Some third parties we use (including Google) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, it is covered by that provider's own safeguards, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent standard contractual clauses.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
